David Marshall to Teach Lawyers in Africa

David Marshall has accepted an invitation to teach trial advocacy to African trial attorneys in April 2018. David will teach for a week in Gabarone, Botswana, in a program sponsored by the Law Society of Botswana and Justice Advocacy Africa.

David has taught trial advocacy in the United States at programs of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and as an adjunct professor at the Seattle University School of Law.

“I became a lawyer mostly because I thought I would like trying cases,” David said, “and indeed I do. I love it.”

“A trial is most likely to have a just result,” David added, “when each party is represented by an advocate with strong trial skills. I’m excited that I get to help lawyers in Botswana sharpen their skills.”
