Seven years ago, Moses Lake resident Michael Alan allowed police to enter his home to search his computer. As it turned out, the computer contained hundreds of images depicting minors involved in sexually explicit conduct.

So case closed, right?

Wrong, said the Washington State Supreme Court in a recent decision. KIRO-TV interviewed Marshall Defense Firm’s Aimée Sutton to help explain why Michael Alan is a free man today.
